Privacy Policy — A Thousand Words

Last updated: 2026-08-25

The short version

A Thousand Words stores all your data on your device. We run no servers, require no account, and use no analytics or advertising trackers. We cannot see your data. Deleting the app deletes your data.

Data we do not collect

We do not collect, transmit, or sell personal data: no name, email, location, usage analytics, or advertising identifiers.

In-app purchases

Purchases are processed by Apple. To validate and restore purchases we use RevenueCat as a service provider, which receives a randomly generated anonymous identifier and purchase state — no identity data. See RevenueCat's privacy policy.

Your rights (GDPR)

Under the EU General Data Protection Regulation you have rights to access, rectify, and erase personal data. Since your data never leaves your device, you exercise these directly: view it in the app, and delete it by deleting the app. For any question or request, contact us — we answer within 30 days.

Changes

If a future version of the app changes what data is processed, we will update this policy and note it in the app's release notes before the change takes effect.
